Before purchasing our home, my wife and I used the services of home inspector Emerson Rezende on the advice of my realtor. We could not have been more satisfied. To say the inspection was thorough would be an understatement. Mr. Rezende crawled into places the homeowner did not know existed. Mr. Rezende was extremely professional and prepared. He arrived with testing tools as expected for evaluating the condition of the house, and he also came with a collection of computerized tools for gathering, recording, and reporting his findings. At the end of the inspection, we were presented with a printed report composed of summary and detail sections describing the state of each component of the house. In addition, we were given a home maintenance manual. The inspection uncovered items that saved us a money in later repairs, because we were able to have the homeowner remedy them before settlement. Before the final walk-through, we enlisted the services of Mr. Rezende again (at a lower cost). This decision turned out to be wise. He verified that repairs had been made in places that were difficult to access, and in the proper manner. I have no affiliation with Smart Home Inspection other than as a satisfied customer, and would not hesitate to recommend the company.
